Quarterly Assessments

As of February 1st, 2015, Hawaiian Properties became the new management company for Newtown Estates Community Association. If you would like to sign-up for automatic payment, SUREPAY, please contact Hawaiian Properties at (808) 539-9777 to request an application. Otherwise, quarterly assessment payments may be mailed to:

Payment with Coupon: Hawaiian Properties (Lock Box), P.O. Box 30950, Honolulu, Hawaii 96820-095

Payment without Coupon: Hawaiian Properties (Office), P.O. Box 38078, Honolulu, Hawaii 96837-1078

Quarterly assessment billing notices will no longer be mailed to homeowners. Homeowners paying by check using the Lock Box System will receive a coupon booklet by mail each year. Coupon booklets for each new fiscal year will be mailed out every August.

NOTE: For the remainder of this fiscal year ending August 31, 2022, the two coupons for March and June were mailed to homeowners. If you did not receive your coupons, please contact Hawaiian Properties.

Surepay – Automatic Payment
All homeowners on the Surepay automatic payment system will need to complete a new Surepay agreement form and mail it back to Hawaiian Properties. Thereafter, you will not receive a billing statement.
Lock Box Billing
All homeowners who pay via the Lock Box will receive a coupon book that will include two quarterly coupons for the remainder of this fiscal year, March-May 2022 and June-August 2022, along with two return envelopes. Prior to the start of each new fiscal year, homeowners will then receive a coupon book that will include four coupons, one coupon for each quarter.

This new system will enable the Association to save approximately $16,000 each year on postage, printing, and labor costs.

All NECA homeowners are responsible for insuring payment of quarterly assessments regardless of whether they have officially occupied their property.

The Newtown Estates Community Association’s Board of Directors have long declared that the quarterly assessments are due on the following schedule:

1st Quarter Billing: September 1st
2nd Quarter Billing: December 1st
3rd Quarter Billing: March 1st
4th Quarter Billing: June 1st

If payment is not received by the last day of the month, it is deemed late and a $25 late fee plus additional penalties will be assessed. There are no late fee exception provisions for holidays, weekends, late postal service, or claims that a quarterly billing statement was not received.
